Unique:

This location is definitely unique given its breakup over two resorts but it has a few great features that make it a good option for your next sales meeting.  Many companies are using it as an alternate to the Breakers given the Breakers availability is limited over the next two years for group meetings.

Goods and Bads:

First a few of the positives:

  • Meeting Space
  • Quality of Food
  • Golf Course
  • Wave Pool
  • Outdoor event space
  • Second location beachfront - easy boat shuttle
  • Multiple dining options, including morning grab and go
  • Updated bathrooms
  • Affordable room nights

Negatives:

  • Breakup of the two resorts, van shuttle takes 15-20 minutes (boat only runs Thu-Sun)
  • Rooms on the older side
  • Staff pompous, not warm & welcoming
  • Valet took + 45 minutes
  • Cost of catering menus
  • Resort Fee

Rating:

Overall rating is a B+ for the resort for sales kickoff event or conference. Would not recommend for an incentive trip given the two resort separation.  Our team enjoyed all food on the resort, impressive meeting and event space, multiple restaurants on property with group dinner options.  The customer service was spotty at best, valet was a major struggle and the beach resort was a hike to get to.
